New Nut
Usually I have to change the nut if it has been chipped or broken. But sometimes it is Necessary to change a nut if it is to low or too high.
There are two options.
I either fit an aftermarket nut, if there is one available for your model of guitar.
Or I cut a new one from graphite or Bone
These are actually 2 examples of upgrading a standard strat nut to a LSR Roller Nut. It makes a big difference, your strings will no longer snagg and tuning will be a lot smoother. Not to mention the benefits to the tremolo mechanism.
